Sy Hersh interviewed by Faiz Shakir, at a Campus Progress journalism conference. In this interview, Mr. Hersh discloses info, from his own White House sources, on Dick Cheney’s plan for a false flag in the Strait of Hormuz. Cheney would have Navy Seals, disguised as Iranians, to attack US Navy vessels — resulting in the Seals’ deaths, and in the justification for an American attack on Iran. Hersh claims that this was only 1 of *12 ideas* to get a war with Iran started. Mr. Hersh has the *moral responsibility* to disclose what Cheney’s other 11 ideas were. And it is the moral responsibility of the public to encourage him to do it. Psychotic people we have in our government now, though look what we had for a (vice) president the last 8 years? When will americans wake up?

  2. zainethanakhtar says:

“Flags are bits of coloured cloth that governments use to first, shrink wrap people’s brains and then as ceremonial shrouds to bury the dead. ” Arundahati Roy. Folks I’m not a leftist nor do I belive in UTOPIA but there is a place in between which is “wonderful” that we can get to .. if only we (the people) stop listening to NEWS on TV and start reading more BOOKS,

  3. businessfreedom says:

The private mercenary army of Kellogg,Root and Brown is a devision of Haliburton which Cheney is the big cheese of.

Soo Dick Cheney stands to gain a lot from a false flag attack.

  4. smunp says:

I would like to know what those 11 other ideas were.

I’m actually libertarian so I understand. However, my nature is to be skeptical.
Infact, I just attended a 9/12 demostration today. It’s not what the news makes it out to be it all, it was filled with all kinds of people with different philosophies but one thing they all had in common was Limited government.

Infact, every single politician on the hill should be throw out of office. However, Ron paul may stay.

  6. RjWeapon says:

I can agree with you there…. to be frank, I don’t trust anyone, but, when a journalist goes head to head with the establishment, it’s hard not to lean towards the journalist in the infowar…

  7. lashkaretoiba says:

Seymour Hersh also used Forged JFK Papers. I’m not saying he hasn’t done good work in the past, for example the My Lai Massacre, what I am saying is he’s not to be entirely trusted on every single issue. Nor is he the sole authority on political matters.

  8. RjWeapon says:

Wake up and face the music…. Americans have been rejecting the truth for a century, here you are, still, twisting the licorice… maybe this country really does deserve what’s coming

  9. RjWeapon says:

“This reporter has a solid and well-earned reputation for making dramatic assertions based on thinly sourced, unverifiable anonymous sources.”

This reporter has also won a Pulitzer Prize for international reporting…. talk about an enemy of the state, do you know how many operations this guy has BROKEN? I wouldn’t be suprised if he ends up ‘committing suicide’ – if you know what I mean….

  10. RjWeapon says:

Most investigative journalists have dedicated their lives to getting the information out to the people….. most governments have dedicated their being to obtaining ultimate control over their populations… and you’re really on the fence over this??

  11. RjWeapon says:

Key words…. “U.S. Defense Department spokesman Brian Whitman said,” – LOL – welcome to the twilight zone.

  12. RjWeapon says:

You honestly trust the government, over Seymour Hersh? How naive….

  13. lashkaretoiba says:

“In a response to an article in The New Yorker in which Hersh alleged that the U.S. government was planning a strike on Iran, U.S. Defense Department spokesman Brian Whitman said, “This reporter has a solid and well-earned reputation for making dramatic assertions based on thinly sourced, unverifiable anonymous sources.”

So it’s his word against the governments.
Until he releases the source I can’t take this seriously one way or the other.

  14. lashkaretoiba says:

This isn’t news it’s sensationalism. When hasn’t our government thought up these scenario’s? For fuck sake I just saw 638 ways to kill castro. This was your boy LBJ AND Kennedy. Which I wish they would have accomplished.

Of course I don’t even trust Seymour Hersh I would need to see proof to back up this claim.

  15. trollfinger says:

Lobbiests, they fund republicans and democrats in a big way so no matter who wins they can call in favours.

  16. MartinGist says:

Hirsch’s source SAYS the idea was rejected. My guess would be his source lied to him about the time sequence, and was telling without telling that the actual incident in the Straights of Hormuz WAS the result of the meeting described, which really took place much earlier.

Hirsch is also either misinformed or disinforming about public reaction to the speedboat incident. Most Americans by that time had grown weary of the warmongering schemes of Cheney and Co.

Clear headed people, raionale people, can easily differentiate b/w Jews and Zions, b/w Muslims and CIA created extremist muslims.

Truth and the matter of fact is that many jews are doing a noble work in the world today like Norman Flinkestien, Rabai, aka Hilberg, Seymour, Chomsky….not only US but the whole world’s proud of them. Jews r not only ordinary ppl but real intelects as well.
Only Ignorents and Israel are jews biggest enemy.

  20. delerium2k says:

Guys, enough of the jewish boogeyman bullshit. There may be some NWOers who happen to be jewish but allowing those people to represent 15 million jews is like letting bush represent the american people. ridiculous. the jews are not in on some grand conspiracy, they are regular people, and the longer blanket anti-jewish sentiment goes around the longer it will take to get more jews into the truth movement. stop slowing the progress of this unifying movement of truth. Divided we fall.

Jews have always worked together to serve their group interests. Books by Jews such as The Fatal Embrace are a testimony to it.
